The Madison City Youth Orchestra was established in July 2013. Our mission is to help area musicians ages 5-18, regardless of ability level or need, develop full potentials as orchestra performers. We do this by providing a laid back, accepting the environment, skilled and experienced conductors and interns, quality music education programs, engaging repertoire, and ample performance opportunities and community collaborations for students to have fun, excel and succeed.
To meet its mission, the Madison City Youth Orchestra has the following goals:
The Madison City Youth Orchestra is a 501 (c) (3), non-profit corporation. We provide a low-tuition orchestral experience through corporate, small business, and individual donations. If you would like to help us purchase instruments, scores, or equipment, please consider making a tax-free contribution.
If you would like to donate (new or used) instruments to the Madison City Youth Orchestra, please contact us. We accept instruments in any shape, form, or fashion.
We are the only full orchestra for youth in Madison, Alabama. In six years, we have grown from three students to over 500 students representing 21 public, private and home schools in North Alabama who have been a part of our family.
Our registration/tuition fee is only $100.00/semester/student.
We have been referred to as, "The YMCA of Youth Orchestras" due to our laid-back, community-oriented feel, and we are proud of that association.
